Daucus Carota (Wild Carrot) Oil

The essential oil Daucus Carota is extracted by steam-distilling the seeds of the wild carrot plant that grows in the temperate regions of Europe and Southwest Asia.

Its properties were already known in ancient Greece and India.

In its chemical composition are terpenes, tannins, flavonoids, carotenoids and many vitamins, especially Vitamin A. Its antioxidants neutralise free radicals, protecting the skin from natural degeneration. At the same time, coupled with the benefits of Vitamin A, they give optical properties to this essential oil for the care of the eye area. It also provides great luminosity to the skin.

Other properties include helping eliminate toxins that have built up in the dermis and combating skin disorders such as abscesses, boils, scars, couperose, psoriasis and dark patches, whilst it is also antiseptic, antifungal and antibacterial.

In addition, its high content of beta-carotene facilitates skin tanning.
