Butyrospermun Parkii (Shea Butter)

This is extracted from the nuts of shea tree, native to Africa (Nigeria, Senegal and Burkina Faso).

Its composition includes essential fatty acids, phytosterols, Vitamin F (vital component of cell membranes), Vitamin E (antioxidant), Vitamin A (antioxidant), Vitamin D, Vitamin C (helps renew collagen), cinnamic acid (giving a protection factor of approximately SPF 6).

It contains lupeol, a substance which reduces the effects of skin ageing by inhibiting enzymes that degrade skin proteins.

Its main properties for the skin are:
